Really love this awesome new video.. from K.I.D. (Kids In Despair) who are Toronto siblings Kara and Bobby..

After high school, the duo were deemed ‘unfit’ for higher education.  They found themselves dwelling in their mother’s basement and making demos they would later classify as ‘garage pop’. The band recently revealed the video for their song ‘New Emotion’, which is taken from their debut EP, due out later this year.

On ‘New Emotion’ the band said:

“We’ve got a bunch of songs that tell love stories from a very pessimistic, embittered perspective. We recorded New Emotion as a sort of prequel to those songs, exploring how you feel before you’re burning the guy’s house down”

“We use pharmacy imagery in the video to play with the idea that you can’t really cure yourself of emotion, no matter how irrational. We shot a lot of it on our mom’s old VHS cam, and collaborated with Jungle George to make it kind of outlandish and striking. We hope people like this side to us, it’s definitely the sweetest we’ve ever been musically”

They have also reworked Zedd’s ‘I Want You To Know’, turning it from an EDM anthem to a brooding, gothic, electro-ballad – FREE DOWNLOAD here:

Their debut EP will be released in September.
